老圃,姓白名进海,金海,菜园子老白.1955年生,北京人,1982年毕业于中央美术学院中国画系,2004年毕业于中央美术学院首届国画专业博士课程研修班,师从张立辰先生,现为荣宝斋画院研究创作中心主任,其画作多取材于瓜果、青蔬、花鸟,从选材到如何描绘题材上显示与一般花鸟画家有很大的不同,能将自然之情、乡情融为一个独特的艺术审美世界,用笔简朴、设墨清雅,崇尚简淡中和之道,在写实中强调表现性,独蹊一格.
